Best meal we had in our week-long stay in Romania. I was concerned at the extreme 1 star reviews, and almost didn't chance it, but we did and were grateful. It's not in an appealing building but the view is outstanding of the cathedral! The service we received was the highest standard we encountered. The food options were broad, fresh and tasty, with good salad/veggie options relative to other establishments. Tapas for shared starters gave us an opportunity to taste fish, veggie, beef and rabbit. I had the perch fish, it was delicate and served on a bed of fruity veggie rice- delicious. Lasagne, pork and beef burgers were ordered too along with a side salad of beef. Afterwards we strolled around the pretty town.

Folio was a pleasant surprise for us. We were looking for a restaurant to have lunch and we chose it based on the reviews. From the parking lot, access is via the internal staircase of a typical communist building. Going up, we wondered if we had made the right choice. When we entered, a completely different world. Beautifully decorated, ambient music at a low volume, smiling and very kind staff. The food was extraordinary! Both the duck breast and the lamb steak were something delightful for both the taste buds and the eyes. Then, although we were full, we decided to have dessert. French tart with baked apple, a perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. And if you want something a little sweeter, then the Banoffee tart is one of the choices. We will definitely come back!

A real hidden gem close to Fagaras Fortress. Close to fine dining, tasteful dishes, attentive waiters, lovely interior design, relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed our lunch and we'll return for sure. Thank you, Gabriela.

Highly recommended. Arman - Thanks a lot for the hospitality and the service you provided. The food was really good. From the starters to the main course and the desserts everything was superb. I tried the in-house burger. Would recommend it. It was visually pleasing and the taste was as good. The veg pasta was also great. Thanks again Arman for the service. Felt really special. Well hidden gem. Street entrance doesn't look like much but awesome food with a great view on the cathedral. Chill vibe, super polite staff. The price is a steal given how tasty and well presented the food is. We got soups and duck, and it was all very good. Deserts were also great. Do not change a thing!

Stumbled this place while we were visiting this town. Staff Arman was super helpful and recommended great food. The food were delicious and will definitely come back if i have the chance.

A dream location in the center of Făgăraș, with a panoramic view of the Făgăras Fortress and the Orthodox Cathedral. A restaurant not to be missed for everyone who passes through this city. A select menu made by Paul Novac, a local chef participating in the renowned "Chefi la cutite".
